Dear Gravity
I have noticed, of late, that my body has redistributed itself.
In the mirror I see a Baroque woman.
A Rubens perhaps or an … ah , now I see it, it's a Dali.
I put on my glasses,
To discover,
my bossom less heaving, more sighing
my hips more bore, less bearing.
Lying down it flattens,
But you have slackened
The aging muscles, the tucks and folds
The curves that once made me so bold.
Cease and desist,
And if you persist,
You will hear from my lawyer in due course.
