Merry Met folks
I have a little treat for you today. To promote my winter storytelling at The Weald & Downland Living Museum this December, the museum kindly agreed for me to tell and record one of my winter stories in Walderton House, at the museum.
This house has seen many changes and has been in existence since the 15th century. As it passed through the hands of different owners, at one point it became the post office. This was c1874 and so for this season’s stories I will be representing a Victorian postmistress who has received letters from the community asking her to solve their folkloric problems.
Hobs, fairies, dragons, dancing trees and trolls are all included and if you’d like to come and listen to the stories, you can do so as part of your entry ticket, on the 19th, 20th and 21st of December. Performances are at 1130, 1230, 1330 & 1430.
You can book your tickets online, in advance as it does get busy during the holidays. You can watch the story below and I’ll see you there for more tales of the wee folk.
Loved it, thankyou : )
