Merry Met All
At some point we all need to take stock of our work/life balance and the zeotrope that life becomes on occasion. If we want to avoid burn out we need to listen to the signals our body is giving us and the messages the universe is sending our way, and I’ve had a few of those recently.
Here’s some rocks to represent the carefully stacked elements of life:
I love sharing stories, folklore, heritage and my love for this earth on which we live with you all. It's an important part of my creative process, but I need to take some time out to slow down. Not stop completely, just find a new balance. l have a few things going on at the moment (both work and personal) that need my attention, so in order to make Cerridwen’s Cauldron sustainable I’m going to reduce the content I’m posting.
This means there will be no new content for paid subscribers for the foreseeable. It means that I will not post content such as the Hearths and Halls, the Seasonal Altar and my Seasonal Walk With Me for a while at least. And for that I hope you will forgive me as I know you enjoy these posts as much as I enjoy putting them together, but I will continue with the podcast and that will remain free, as sharing traditional oral stories with others in an accessible way is an important part of holding the tradition of storytelling. I will review this in the autumn.
Desperately need to do a bit more of this:
Some of you have been subscribers since 2020, when I started my Patreon during the first lockdown, and then you joined me over here in 2022. For that I am truly grateful. I know some of you will want to continue to support me as a paid subscriber, so I will keep the paid subscriber option running so that you can still support me this way if you wish. As a paid subscriber, you will still have access to an archive of content only accessible to paid subscribers. There are currently 100 paid posts in the archives.
I will continue to send out a monthly newsletter plus new episodes of the ‘Stories From Lore’ podcast and I will drop by with the occasional news, but there will be no new paid content for the foreseeable. If you wish to adjust your subscription to a ‘free’ subscription then you can do this by going to your account and managing subscriptions.
I have not made this decision lightly as I really appreciate the support I receive in this little corner of the web, so I hope you will understand why I’ve made this change and that you will continue to enjoy the newsletter and podcast.
I’ll be back soon with May’s Newsletter ‘The Fae Folk of Suð Seaxe’.
Dawn
Absolutely understand, you always give so much. Inevitably there comes a time when you need to replenish. Take good care of yourself Dawn xx
